As a Professional Guide I have rowed all makes
of drift boats. I wanted to access areas I couldn't reach and, during
low flows, was tearing up my boats (not to mention the fish could hear
me a mile away!). I chose a VG because it was particularly suited for
fishing. I expected it to be sluggish compared to a drift boat, but the
VG responds and tracks with so little effort I now use it more than my
drift boat!
